The ASDS film studio under the direction of Andrey Sigle and Dmitry Svetozarov has completed the work on the film-parable “The Shadow” with Mikhail Porechenkov in a leading role.This is a movie about a talented and strong man. He feverishly seeks for anything that would allow him to move on with his life, whether it be an extreme adventure, his work or a double of a woman seen on the old time photograph. Next to that is a story of a young girl, the double. A story of a simple attempt to survive in the complicated world. A story of love that gives life and a lack of love that beckons for death.
Andrey Sigle: “The plot of the film is based on the characters’ relations when they meet, find a meaning in love, hatred and even death. Dmitry always finds the urgent themes that would interest the actors as well as himself”.
Once again Dmitry Svetozarov discovers new names. Young and not widely known actors play along with famous actors such as Mikhail Porechenkov and Yuri Stoyanov. Varvara Shcherbakova an actress from St.Petersburg plays the film’s lead character. For the role of an ex-prisoner Iziumov the maestro invited the young actor Pyoutr Lagachev who he had discovered on the internet.
