YURI STOYANOV
Since his childhood he has composed poetry, played the guitar, practised fencing. He studied at the Film Actors Workshop at the Odessa Film Studios. After graduating at the Lunacharsky State Institute for Theatrical Arts in 1978 he acted in the Tovstonogov Drama Theatre playing Mozart in the show “Amadeus” directed by Georgy Tovstonogov.
Along with Ilia Oleinikov he worked in the television programme “Adam’s Apple”. In the same period, from 1991 to 1993, he was a director and programme presenter on Leningrad television. In 1993 Stoyanov and Oleinikov created the programme “Gorodok” at the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company which was very soon to win the hearts of viewers and more than once won the “TEFI” national television awards.
Since 2013 he has presented the “Big Family” programme on the Russia Culture canal, «Live Sound» on Rossiya-1 channel, he is a jury member of the Russian version of the show "Your Face Sounds Familiar" on Russia’s Channel One. Yuri Stoyanov has more than fifty roles in film and theatre under his belt.
