Anna Vartanyan
Anna Vartanyan was born January 23, 1973.
In 1994 she graduated from the Faculty of Theatre of Saratov State Conservatory. Since 1990 she has been working in Saratov state academic theatre named after Karl Marks. While working in Saratov she played the following roles:
Nina Zarechnaya – “Chayka” A. Chekhov (directed by Alexandr Dzekun)
Elena – “White Guard” M. Bulgakov (directed by Alexandr Dzekun)
Tomasina – “Arkadia” Tom Stoppard (directed by Alexandr Dzekun)
Ester – “Viktor or children in power” Roge Vitrak (directed by Alexandr Dzekun), Etc.
In 1998 she was invited in St-Petersburg Theatre named after V. F. Komissargevskaya and played role of Verochka in “Month in the village”. Since that time Anna played lots of roles in this theatre.
In 2008 Anna Vartanyan was nominated on the Golden Mask Award as co-director of the stage play “Ivanov” (“Takoy Theatre” St-Petersburg)

Anna Vartanyan about Ranevskaya:
Ranevskaya looks at everything trough her love. She is love herself and all the tragedies, experiences and emotions should be thought about in accordance with sensuality and sensitiveness. Nevertheless she is self ironic I think. She can laugh more at the situation than at the man. This helps her to hold on in the place where everything hurts her. Nothing could be changed and she could not stay. The problems are to be solved. Ranevskaya feels the imminence of these problems very well…
